Mark Shine to head AT&T, India

NEW DELHI, INDIA: AT&T Inc. today announced the appointment of Mark Shine as president for AT&T Communication Services India Pvt. Ltd, with effect retroactive to October 1, 2007.

Shine will lead AT&T's business development and will be appointed to lead subsequent operations in the Indian wireless telecommunications market.

"India is a strategic market for our global plans, and AT&T has the commitment to play an important role in the remarkable development taking place," Shine said.

Shine brings to his new role more than 25 years of experience in the telecom industry. Earlier he was vice president of AT&T Global Sales Operations and was located in Bedminster, N.J.
