Maples ESM open new facility in Chennai

CHENNAI: Maples ESM Technologies, a company involved in

ESM (Enterprise System Management) consultancy for medium and large sized

companies today announced the launch of a new facility in the IT Corridor of

Chennai, at a cost of $ 12 million. The facility includes a wide range of

high-end servers like IBM Mainframe, Z/890, HP, Sun and networking gears

designed to provide seamless IT services to global client base in 'Remote IT

Infrastructure Management.'






Announcing the launch, Maples Managing Director, N Ram Subramani said: “Maples
has won more high-end sophisticated clients and the demands for our services

based on the platform that we have built have been highly sought after.” In

this context he added that Maples was the only Indian-based IT company to offer

these full-suite of services on high-end server Management.






Declaring open the centre, R Damodaran, Vice President of IBM Global services
said that the ESM market size according to the Gartner's Report was $ 200

million.






As may be pointed out, Maples ESM Technologies is the prime vendor and the
largest single vendor in ESM services for IBM in India and has 493 professionals

working in the IBM facilities at Bangalore and Hyderabad. Currently, Maples,

which serves India's 15 top IT companies has orders within India to add 300

professionals every quarter.






Barings International has pumped in $ 4 million investment in December 2005 and
Maples has scaled from 220 employees to 750 + employees in 5 months with Barings

support. The growth would be achieved by the company's US, and Japan

operations this year apart from the Indian operations.
