Mantras of success for new CIOs

KOCHI, INDIA: In an interactive workshop, Dr Kapil Dev Singh,founder, Coeus Age, demonstrated the mantra of new CIO leadership, on day 2 of C-Change today.

Taking a leaf out of his doctoral research, Singh distributed the CIO Leadership into four quadrants namely Human, Change, Business Manager and Operations Manager.

Singh said that the quadrants hold true to the new CIOs who have been elevated from the mid-management layer. He demonstrated the same by distributing survey questionnaire, and discussed at length the kind of approach–persuasive or coercive the CIO has to adopt in order to obtain his goals. He also shared a mantra for new CIOs on how to influence peers. And that was: collaborate, socialize and influence.
