New Update

Mantra Online has begun providing users with a

free online virus scanning service. Branded Housecall, the service will

allow the users to avail of a pre-paid Flexi Package which bridges the

low-volume-new-user and the high-end-heavy-user.

Announcing both the new services at the India Internet World ’99 ,

Bharti BT CEO N. Arjun said: "We tied up Trend Micro Inc (TMI), the

world’s leading Internet anti-virus solution, to provide antidote to a

number of viruses like Melissa that find their way in via e-mails. As an

e-mail provider, we feel responsible for helping our users keep their mail

virus-free." "In addition to keeping their mail virus-free,

users also get an update of the newest viruses that have been

located," says TMI director, new business development Frank Neu.

Flexi Mantra, the second service of Mantra, is an any-time-of-the-day

pre-paid price plan. Available off-the-shelf from locations like

bookshops, the Flexi Mantra allows the user to use it at any time. When

used in the day it will allow the user a certain amount of hours. Used in

off-peak hours it allows him to use it for double the number of hours.
