BANGALORE: The contest kicked off on March 22, 2004 to coincide with the Game Developer's Conference in San Jose and will end on June 24. All entries will be evaluated by both a panel of experts in the mobile entertainment industry, as well as consumers! Sony Ericsson will allow consumers to play the game through a web interface and vote on the winner! and top 20 games will be passed on to a panel of experts to determine the final winners.

Three winners will be chosen for the contest, based on regions of the world; one from Asia-Pacific, one from EMEA and one from the Americas. The winners will receive cash prizes and the games will be marketed and promoted by Sony Ericsson, worldwide.

The contest is open for all game developers, 18 years or older and all the contestants have to be registered members Sony Ericsson Developer World in order to submit their game.

The company has made a lots of tools available, for free download on their Web site for the contestants.
