The contract to be implemented over a 9-month period would cover the end-to-end implementation of the Oracle E-Biz Suite R12, said a press release.
The e-Biz suite would streamline the various business processes of the university's different departments and provides real-time MIS abilities to help management in decision-making, the release added.
The university faced key challenges in the automation and integration of various business function.
The implementation of the E-Biz Suite is expected to integrate different functional areas, ensure visibility and availability of real-time MIS, help standardise business processes, create smoother business work flow, and enable better inventory control and optimization.
It will also help in improving the daily management processes and operations of the university, enabling the management to focus on the core business and remain competitive, the release said.
“The implementation of Oracle's comprehensive product suite will help us strengthen financial management and control, supply chain management, customer service and HR functionalities,” said Saeed Rashid Al-Athba, IT director, Qatar University.
