Mahindra Satyam to provide services in Kentucky

HYDERBAD, INDIA: Mahindra Satyam, Commonwealth of Kentucky, document management system, health and family Services, the brand name of Satyam Computer Services Ltd., a leading global consulting and IT services provider, announced today that it has signed a large contract with the Commonwealth of Kentucky, USA for design and delivery of a document management system for the child support system.

Speaking about the engagement, Jamie Miller, secretary, Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services said, “These improvements make it easier for non-custodial and custodial parents to get their questions answered and ultimately increase access to more resources in the care of their children.”

Mahindra Satyam's document management system would include scanning and imaging which will enable child support staff to electronically store, view and send information such as applications, court orders and insurance documentation received from case participants, the courts and other agencies. 

This will help in assisting child support staff in their mission to provide better customer service to custodial parents and non-custodial parents.  Additionally, it will also develop a new electronic forms database which will provide state-wide uniformity and improve access for Child Support Enforcement (CSE) caseworkers and participants, said a press release.

He added that the document management solution to the Commonwealth of Kentucky would enable them to bring forth the experienced leaders to deliver the best possible product to the customer.

The project would be implemented over twenty months. Mahindra Satyam would work collaboratively with the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Cabinet of Health and Family Services’ (CHFS).

It will be based on Microsoft SharePoint technology and imaging solution from Knowledgelake, Inc. The Sharepoint based portal will provide for a policy framework along with the repository for forms and documents.
