The company said the contracts would be executed by its Brazilian unit, named Satyam Servicos De Informatica Ltda, based in Sao Paulo. The unit has also appointed Alberto Rosati as the country head for this operation.

Of the two contracts, one is from a global conglomerate and the other from a player in the logistics sector for their Latin American operations. Mahindra Satyam will deploy technology in the Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) space which will power the supply chain operation of these two organizations.

Mahindra Satyam said it saw immense opportunities in the Latin American market, and would increase headcount in the Brazil unit to 100 within six months. "Our goal is to be the top player in the Latin American market leveraging Mahindra Satyam’s existing global delivery model. The Latin American market is growing rapidly and we see immense growth opportunity in the region," said Arvind Malhotra, senior vice president, Mahindra Satyam.

Mahindra Satyam, earlier known as Satyam Computer Services, was acquired by India's Tech Mahindra in April last year, after the firm was hit by India's biggest corporate fraud.
