Mahindra BT chooses Enterasys solutions

BANGALORE: Bangalore-based Enterasys Networks, a Cabletron Systems company,

has said that Mahindra BT has chosen its networking solutions. Enterasys’

networking solutions have been installed at Mahindra BT’s software development

facilities in Pune and Mumbai. Enterasys Networks has enabled the network

infrastructure in Mahindra BT by offering advanced security features and

bandwidth with its SmartSwitch 6000, SmartSwitch Router 8600 and SmartStack

switches. Enterasys has bagged this project in partnership with Network

Solutions.

SmartSwitch Router 8600 and SmartSwitch 6000 will network users of Mahindra

BT with security features and firewall protection. Apart from providing

connectivity to users, the network will also offer maximum uptime and guaranteed

bandwidth for quick access and transfer of multimedia and applications like NT

and Solaris. (A SmartSwitch Router 8600 delivers data at a speed of 32 million

packets per second with application level Quality of Service while a SmartSwitch

6000 with its distributed switching architecture offers a performance of 1

million packets per second.)
