Mahesh Shastry to head Sonata's travel business

BANGALORE, INDIA: Sonata Software, provider in IT services, today announced the appointment of Mahesh Shastry as head of its global travel business.

He would be responsible for Sonata’s foray into the travel vertical, said a press release.

Prior to this Mahesh was associated with Emirates Airlines for 16 years and recently he was with NIIT Technologies as global head of their Travel, Transportation and Logistics (TTL) business.

He said Mahesh’s appointment would help spearhead the growth of the travel business of the company. “Looking ahead, we are optimistic we will be a partner of choice for next generation travel companies,” he said.
