SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: MagnaChip Semiconductor Ltd. has developed a mid-sized TFT-LCD driver chip that supports WSVGA (1024X600) resolution, one of the first mid-sized solutions to be developed with this advanced resolution.

This product features the capability of reproducing 1.6 million colors and supporting VGA (640X480) and WVGA (800X480) resolution levels. It is designed to be applied to various mid-sized applications such as ultra mobile PCs, personal mobile players, personal navigation devices, car navigation systems and digital video cameras. The chip also supports the LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signal) interface, which is widely adopted for mid-sized applications.

The most distinct feature of this product is that it is one of the first of its kind to support WSVGA (1024X600) resolution. Further, the solution is optimized for web browsers and utilizes compact designs that allow for leeway in module design.
