Ma Foi readying for a sprint down JobStreet

BANGALORE: Chennai-based Ma Foi Management Consultants Ltd. has launched its
portal, www.mafoi.com, for integrating
careers, training, compensation and testing. The HR portal has FlexiCareer,
TrainingHorizon and CompClubIndia as its micro sites. FlexiCareer provides an
online platform for candidates and employers looking for flexible terms of
employment, including job sharing and part-time work for a stipulated time
period.

TrainingHorizon provides information about the training programs offered by
various training centers. It also has feedback from participants of training
programs across the country to help people decide on the kind of training that
would suit them. CompClubIndia offers compensation practices both for companies
and individuals. It also has survey reports on the different compensation
practices across industries.

Ma Foi has signed an MoU with the Singapore based JobStreet.com, which will
function as the career channel on the Ma Foi portal. Under the two-way
agreement, JobStreet.com will be Ma Foi’s online recruitment channel for
permanent manpower needs and Ma Foi will be JobStreet’s on-the-ground
recruitment partner. Talking about the tie-up, Ma Foi managing director K Pandia
Rajan said, "The tie-up with an international job site will bring in
synergy between online recruitment and our core strength in order fulfillment on
the ground. We believe that JobStreet and Ma Foi together can give a candidate
the best career options and provide companies with integrated recruitment
solutions of the highest standards."

Ma Foi is planning to finalize its second round of VC funding for $2 million
in the next two weeks. The company already has received VC funding of Rs 2.6
crore from Usha Martin and MetDist of the UK. In the last seven and a half year,
Ma Foi has placed around 5,400 candidates. The company, which recorded a
turnover of Rs 8.8 crore for 1999-2000, has 154 employees and around 600 people
on deputation.
