Luminaire, ITI set up network for Welspun

BANGALORE: Bangalore-based Luminaire Technologies Ltd., in association with

ITI Ltd., has successfully installed a Multi-Service Wide Area Captive Network (MSWACN)

for Welspun India Ltd. The network connects Welspun’s factory and offices in

nine different locations.

As per the contract, Welspun’s operational units at Colaba, Chitra Bazaar,

Andheri, Delhi, Palghar, Vapi, Rakholi, Surat and Dahej have been

inter-connected to support voice, data and videoconferencing facility.

Initially, video conferencing facilities would be available at its Colaba and

Vapi units.

Speaking about the contract, Luminaire Technologies director Jitendra Shah

said, "The contract worth Rs 80 lakh was completed on a turnkey basis using

64 Kbps leased line and multi access switch to provide voice/fax, data and video

services. Right now, Welspun uses the DoT network for its telephone line and it
