LSAT Exams will be conducted online using AI of Pearson's Virtual University Enterprises

In a first time move, US-based Law School Admission Council (LSAC) will conduct online LSAT exams in India. CEO of LSAC, Kellye Testy said:

The worldwide pandemic COVID-19 has had a profound impact on how we live and on how business is conducted around the world. But we know, too, that it is acutely affecting the academic pursuits of millions of students everywhere.

How will the exam be conducted?

The exam will be conducted using AI-assisted technology. The candidate’s entire examination will be recorded via the computer’s web camera. After the browser successfully identifies the candidate, he/she will be taken to a secure browser. The examiner holds the right to invalidate in case of any misconduct of any kind.

To safeguard the ability of Indian students to apply to law schools in India, we have partnered with Pearson VUE. This will offer students a technologically advanced entrance exam this year. The test delivery system has technical features that ensure the transparency, convenience, and integrity of the testing process, without sacrificing security.

Like all other online exams, there are questions surrounding access. Like what if someone does not have a stable internet connection or electricity supply? What if people don't have computers or laptops with webcams or potentially required specs?

Pearson VUE will look into all these problems and come up with the solutions in the coming 40 days.
