Loop's innovative experience stores to drive users

MUMBAI, INDIA: Loop Mobile, the leading mobile operator in the Mumbai telecom circle, today launched the first-of-its-kind experience store at Vashi in Mumbai.

The experience stores are company-owned outlets designed to serve subscribers and their needs with the aim to provide efficient services. Apart from value-added services, the stores offer free Internet access to subscribers along with five customer service desks for addressing users’ queries and quick resolutions.

For instance, the store has the self-service interactive kiosk where the subscriber using his/her mobile number can choose any of the value-added services such as caller tunes, wall papers, games, music downloads and others.

After submitting the mobile number on the kiosk, the user receives an SMS on the mobile which is a form of password and authentication for activating or selecting any of the value-added services offered on the self-service interactive kiosk.

“As an operator having completed 15 years of service, we are ready to embark on a new journey with bold service promises which shall hold us accountable for 100 per cent delivery,” said Sandip Basu, Loop Mobile’s whole time director and CEO.

According to Basu, the experience stores provide another option to subscribers that are uncomfortable with the IVR systems and so they can walk in here and experience the value-added services before actually activating it.

Further, the company announced ‘Going for Great Challenge’, under which all subscriber calls on IVR will be answered in 10 seconds flat and any service activation request will be done in 15 minutes flat. In case, it failed to do so, Loop Mobile assured to give money back or a free Café Coffee Day voucher to subscribers.

“At present we have 41 stores and this store at Vashi is the first-of-its-kind experience store but we plan to take this count to 100 stores in next 6-12 months. Also, we plan to convert the existing stores into experience stores in near future,” Basu told CyberMedia News.

Loop Mobile, also known as BPL Mobile in past, had started its mobile telephony services in 1995 and today has over 3 million subscriber base with in Mumbai telecom circle.

Recently, the operator has invested about $100 million in IT infrastructure, next generation networks and mobile tower sites. It has close to 10 per cent market share in the Mumbai circle, of which 10 per cent are postpaid users and rest all are prepaid customers.
