Logitech among world’s top 15 Info Tech companies

BANGALORE: Logitech International has been ranked among the world’s top 15

info tech companies in a recent annual report on information technology,

published by the leading business magazine, Business Week.

Logitech was ranked No 91 in Business Week Info Tech 100, a year ago. The

ranking which is based on shareholder return, return on equity, revenue growth

and total revenues commented on Logitech’s growth in the mice market despite

the slump in the sales of PCs worldwide. In addition, Logitech expanded its

product portfolio in 2001 to include webcams, audio speakers and accessories for

video games and handhelds.

"Technology and quality, bundled in innovative designs, have been the

hallmark of Logitech’s range of products," said, Logitech, Asia Pacific

region, vice president, sales and marketing, Gavin Wu Asia Pacific Region.

"We are proud of our achievement and will continue to build on our

strengths to offer consumer products that elevate their style." Logitech’s

range of products includes mice and trackballs, keyboards, Internet video

cameras, audio and telephony products, interactive gaming devices and 3D

controllers.

The Business Week Info Tech 100 listing is an Annual Report published

by Business Week that ranks the top technology companies worldwide based on

their performance over the last 12 months. Based on financial data provided by

Standard and Poor’s and Business Week’s bureaus across the world, Business

Week created a list of 550 companies from which 200 were shortlisted for a final

analysis. The final 100 were ranked basis four criteria — shareholder return,

return on equity, revenue growth and total revenue.
