LinkedIn has been seeing strong growth in India since establishing its office in India in December 2009, said a press release.

“Our member growth in India has been strong over the last three months. We are seeing a buzz around LinkedIn with more and more members engaging through LinkedIn Groups and LinkedIn Polls which is helping our members connect and collaborate across geographies,” said Hari V. Krishnan, country manager of LinkedIn India.

He added that their focus for India is to increase the usage of products, applications and hiring solutions thereby connecting all of India’s professionals to help them be more successful and productive.

LinkedIn members are using Answers, Groups and Polls to engage, collaborate and even grow business opportunities across the LinkedIn network. In addition, LinkedIn’s open API platform has enabled developers from India and across the world to custom-build integrations with LinkedIn.com to provide members an engaged professional networking experience.

The company’s integration with Twitter has also provided further impetus in driving member engagement, the release added.
