NEW DELHI: LightPointe Inc. is betting on the Indian market in a big way for its optical wireless solutions.

The company designs and manufactures high-speed optical wireless products based on free-space optics technology for cost-effective bridging in enterprise and carrier networks.

It claimed that its patented DualPath architecture integrates auto-switching and license-free 5.8 GHz radio frequency (RF) technology as a secondary and redundant data path for 99.999 percent network availability and uptime.

The company’s line of sight technology bypasses hurdles like license obligations, regulatory issues, physical barriers and environmental impact, LightPointe founder and CTO Heinz A. Willebrand said in a press release.
