LightPointe accepted into Made in California program amidst surge

SAN DIEGO, USA: LightPointe Wireless, the number one manufacturer of all-weather hybrid outdoor wireless bridges and a leader in 60 and 70/80 GHz ultra low latency backhaul solutions, has been accepted into the Made in California Program.

The program is managed by CMTC, which is affiliated with the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Hollings MEP.

CMTC works closely with manufacturers to help them compete at a higher level. LightPointe, which moved production of its products into facilities in San Diego's Sorrento Valley, manufactures point-to-point outdoor wireless bridges used by telecom carriers, businesses, schools, government agencies, and other organizations to transmit data or digital video at up to 2.5 Gbps.

The need for handling huge amounts of data recently led LightPointe to record breaking revenues.

LightPointe, which was founded in 1998, manufactures Gigabit capacity 60 and 70/80 GHz ultra low latency backhaul solutions, 4th generation lasers and hybrid wireless bridges in San Diego.

The company's wireless links provide faster-than-fiber connections for mobile network infrastructure, such as 4G/LTE small cell backhaul solutions, and for private networks. Most of LightPointe's products are license free and immune to RF interference and spectrum congestion.

In addition, the signal transmissions are highly secure, making eavesdropping virtually impossible.
