LG has finally launched it's flagship phone- G6 in India priced at Rs 51,990, a tad cheaper than the rival Samsung's Galaxy S8.
The smartphone is available online exclusively via Amazon India apart from offline retail stores across the country in Astro Black and Ice Platinum colour variants.
As an introductory offer, LG is also offering Rs 10,000 cashback for HDFC and SBI credit cardholders on Amazon India, applicable only on Tuesday, April 25. The company is also extending a Reliance Jio offer, where LG G6 users will get additional 10GB on every recharge of Rs 309, until March 2018. There are also separate pre-booking offers, applicable till May 1.
To recall the features of the smartphone that was unveiled first at Mobile World Congress earlier this year, the LG G6 flaunts a unibody metal design with rounded corners and chamfered edges. Among the many highlights of the successor to last year’s G5 is the Full Vision Display, dual-camera setup at the back, support for Dolby Vision high dynamic range video technology, and IP68-level water and dust resistance capabilities.
G6, which runs on Android 7.0 Nougat, features a 5.7-inch QHD+ (1440x2880 pixels) Full vision display with an 18:9 (or 2:1) aspect ratio instead of the industry standard (16:9). The phone was launched with the new UX 6.0 that company said has been optimised for the 18:9 aspect ratio.
The device sports dual-camera, which includes a pair of 13-megapixel lenses, out of which one is a wide-angle lens with f/2.4 aperture, while the other is a standard lens with f/1.8 aperture. The rear camera allows support for 4K video recording and is equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Up front, the smartphone is equipped with a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture.
LG G6 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. The smartphone has been launched in two storage variants - 32GB and 64GB. Beefed up with 3,300mAh battery, LG G6 supports Quick Charge 3.0 through a USB Type-C port and also comes with Google Assistant.
