To recall the features of the smartphone that was unveiled first at Mobile World Congress earlier this year, the LG G6 flaunts a unibody metal design with rounded corners and chamfered edges. Among the many highlights of the successor to last year’s G5 is the Full Vision Display, dual-camera setup at the back, support for Dolby Vision high dynamic range video technology, and IP68-level water and dust resistance capabilities.

G6, which runs on Android 7.0 Nougat, features a 5.7-inch QHD+ (1440×2880 pixels) Full vision display with an 18:9 (or 2:1) aspect ratio instead of the industry standard (16:9). The phone was launched with the new UX 6.0 that company said has been optimised for the 18:9 aspect ratio.

The device sports dual-camera, which includes a pair of 13-megapixel lenses, out of which one is a wide-angle lens with f/2.4 aperture, while the other is a standard lens with f/1.8 aperture. The rear camera allows support for 4K video recording and is equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Up front, the smartphone is equipped with a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture.

LG G6 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. The smartphone has been launched in two storage variants – 32GB and 64GB. Beefed up with 3,300mAh battery, LG G6 supports Quick Charge 3.0 through a USB Type-C port and also comes with Google Assistant.
