LG intros finger print security PC

NEW DELHI: LG Electronics India Pvt. Limited (LGEIL), recently launched Desktop PC with finger print security.

The finger print security desktop has enhanced security features like file protection, complete security of data, secure and easy web transaction. With this technically advanced Desktops PCs, one need not remember the password of the computer every time they login, LG said in a statement.

R Manikandan, business group head IT Division, LG Electronics, said, “Reinforcing our Technology leadership, the launch of these Desktops will help the consumer keeping their confidential data protected. Till date this feature was only available with laptops, by pioneering this, LG is proud to lead the way in bringing this feature in desktop as well.”

This biometric security feature allows login access only to the pre-identified users through their fingerprint. The finger print security Desktop PCs comes with varying configurations, the standard model comes with a Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor 3.0, 512MB RAM, 160GB HDD, Multimedia Keyboard, Optical Mouse and 17” CRT Monitor with Microsoft XP Home. LG also offers Built to Order configurations for Enterprise and Corporate segments with this security feature. This desktop PC is priced at Rs 30,000, a LG statement said.
