LG Electronics forays into B2B

BANGALORE, INDIA: With an eye on the largely untapped B2B market, LG  Electronics India today broadened its portfolio in the IT hardware segment by announcing the launch of new cutting-edge technology products that offer innovative business solutions.

The latest hardware offerings from LG Electronics include network monitors with an integrated network solution, LED projectors, Network Attached Storage (NAS) device with inbuilt Blu-ray drives for secondary storage and digital signage products and LG Monitor TV.

The highlight of the launch, however, was the PC virtualization arena. The LG's network monitors with an integrated network solution can connect 10 network monitors to a PC. The company claims that the solution enables 11 users to share a single PC thereby reducing the total cost of ownership up to 60 per cent.

Moon B Shin, managing director of LG Electronics India Pvt Ltd, said, “We anticipate emerging business trends at LG and work towards providing innovative products to fulfill varied business needs.”

He said every model is intricately designed considering requests of various businesses customers.

“So far, LG has been able to create exceptional IT products with great technical features and stylish designers, and with this launch, we strive to cater to the business market by providing ultimate solutions to all their business needs.”

According to Moon B Shin, the Business Solution Division aims to achieve a turnover of Rs 1,100 crore in 2009. The key focus segments will be education, government, BPO and small and medium businesses (SMBs).

Commenting on the new launches R Manikandan, Business Group Marketing Head, Business Solutions, said LG India would keep on expanding its advanced technology sphere.

“With these new varied offerings, we intend to offer solutions to various needs of the Indian B2B customers through the perfect harmony of smart technology and stylish design,” Manikandan added.
