NEW DELHI, INDIA: LG Electronics India Pvt Ltd (LGEIL) has announced a marginal increase in the prices of its IT products. The price increase is a result of the depreciating value of the Rupee affecting the Indian economy.

Sanjoy Bhattacharya, IT Sales head, LG India, said: "The increase in the prices of our IT products is basis the macro-economic situations that are beyond our control. This price hike was necessitated due to the ongoing rupee depreciation. An increase of Rs. 500 to Rs. 1,500 would be applicable on all monitor models, and Rs. 100 on Optical drives. We have tried to absorb the maximum cost to minimize the price increase and provide our customers with the best in class products."
