LG Elec revamps Indian top league

MUMBAI: LG Electronics has announced three strategic movements for LG Electronics India (LGEIL).






Head of overseas sales and marketing of the digital appliance company, Moon B Shin has now been appointed as the deputy MD at LG Electronics in India. Having entered the Indian market with rich global exposure he aims to steer LG India into becoming the most respected global brand.





In another strategic move, Dr YV Verma has been elevated to the position of director, HR and MS.





Also, JH Park has been elevated to become director - manufacturing. Park oversees the operations of LGEIL's Greater Noida as well as Pune plant.





On the strategic decisions made by LGEIL, LG Electronics South West Asia president and LGEIL MD, KR Kim said, "The movements in LGEIL are in sync with the fact that Korea acknowledges that India is the most strategic market for LG globally. India has already attracted investments worth $250 million for the next six years. We have set a target of turnover of Rs 9,000 crore for 2005 and with tactical movements in our organization structure, LGEIL reiterates its commitment to India."
