LG Display to invest $1.3 bln to add new LCD line

SEOUL: South Korea's LG Display, the world's No.2 maker of liquid crystal display screens, said on Friday it would invest 1.49 trillion won ($1.32 billion) to boost production capacity with a new production line.

The new line, which will go into operation in the first half of next year, will manufacture mostly large-sized TV screens.
