8-level FSK wireless data modem released

MALDON, ESSEX: CML has released a major update on the CMX7164 multi-mode wireless data modem, which includes the addition of 8-FSK modulation.

8-FSK constant envelope modulation provides increased data throughput over 4-FSK for given channel bandwidths of 6.25kHz, 12.5kHz and 25kHz.

A range of coding schemes is included that can be selected based on individual channel performance and requirements. An Auto Modulation Detection mode 'AutoModDetect' is also provided, enabling backward compatibility with existing 4-FSK systems.

The addition to the CMX7164 Multi-mode Wireless Data Modem suite of modulations, further enhances its flexibility in addressing existing market requirements and encompassing future market need for higher-speed data.
