CIOL Lenovo set to launch Z1 on may 10

Lenovo, a Chinese multinational technology company, announced the latest invention, Lenovo Z1, which is powered by Zuk - the subsidiary of Lenovo in China. The Company has sent media invites for a crowd Sourced product launch scheduled for May 10th, 2016.

With Lenovo Z1, Zuk will be making its debut in India. It was initially created in China to compete against the advancing flow of Xiaomi.

Lenovo recently made a claim that Micromax will not be the only company to run Cyanogen OS in India. The Lenovo Z1 is indeed going to be the second brand to run the same OS officially. Packed with Cyanogen’s special Android-based software, Z1 is expected to run Cyanogen OS 12.1, which is based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

Lenovo ZUK Z1 is powered by a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM and 64GB onboard storage. As for the camera, the Z1 has a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash and an 8MP front-facing snapper. The smartphone is 4G capable and is backed by a 4,100 mAh battery.

With 5.5-inch Full HD display, the Smartphone comes with a body surrounded by a metal frame. There is a fingerprint scanner integrated into the home button on the front, and a USB Type-C port is there as well.

The device comes with a promising hardware. In China, the device was launched for CNY 1,799, which comes to around Rs 18,000. For its release in India, we will have to wait till May 10th.
