Lenovo intros new consumer PC range

BANGALORE, INDIA: Lenovo has introduced a complete range of futuristic consumer PCs - seven new notebook PCs with five choices of screen size and a diverse palette of color, style and design. The range is loaded with futuristic features including expanded facial recognition for simple and convenient log-in, Gesture recognition for ease of use, One-Key Rescue System to recover data with just one touch and High-definition entertainment features.

Amar Babu, Managing Director, Lenovo India announced at the launch held on Wednesday that, “Having received an overwhelming response to our consumer PC range, we are investing further in the Indian

market with the launch of this impressive new product range. The consumer PC segment is onethird of the total PC market in India and is growing at a very fast pace. We are riding this wave and we believe this new range offers the best mix of great looking products with great features to consumers.”

We are confident that this new Lenovo range with its unique styles, colors and features will completely change the current market dynamics due to the sheer options and features it offers to customers. The new notebooks from Lenovo are based on Intel Centrino 2 processor technology and pave the way to HD

Lenovo’s new desktop - Lenovo H series, is positioned as a family PC with an antibacterial keyboard, one key recovery and Bright Vision feature. Bright Vision, featuring the Bright Eye camera, helps in reducing the strain on the user’s eyes from prolonged use and warns the user every time the user gets too close to the monitor. Lenovo H series features the Lenovo Rescue System, a unique feature that offers immediate help in diagnosing and recovering from mishaps or viruses.

• Gesture recognition which enables the consumer to use gesture to control picture capture,

• Lenovo ReadyComm automatically detects various accessible networks and helps in easy

connectivity and networking.

• Compact and fashionable Notebooks, whose keypad is 85% the size of a conventional, full

function keypad leading to significant comfort in a ultra-small form factor PC.

• HDMI port to deliver high quality video and sound without quality loss - a feature in LCD

The range is also equipped with other features such as One-key rescue, Bright Vision, Dolby, Veriface, frameless screen and all the engineering of Lenovo. The products will be available through Lenovo retail partners and exclusive outlets starting October 2008.
