''The new Lenovo G470 has a solid, full-metal keyboard, which gives a unique key-touch experience. The screen is 3-D enabled and the 2G Intel core processors deliver greater efficiency and power management. To top it all, it weighs less than just 3 lbs,” claimed Rajesh Thadani, director-consumer business unit, HSB, Lenovo India, at a media conference here.

Rajesh Dixit, director-relational business, ThinkClassic product group and channel, Lenovo India said that the ThinkPad T420 is durable and has an all-day, all-night battery life, with NVIDIA optimus technology which delivers a superior battery life over previous discrete models.

“The new USB 3.0 device is six times faster than USB 2.0 and has a low-power media playback feature,” he added.

The power manager settings in the ThinkPad minimise key-board clicks while on Internet VoIP calls. Additionally, the new wireless connectivity in the ThinkPad enables the user to put the system in sleep mode without losing wireless connectivity. Even after the user will change the position, the connectivity will not go off, he claimed.

“Another unique feature is that it has got a 720p HD camera which is suitable for taking quality-videos. It also supports faster video-editing and sharing, good quality DVD and multi-media capabilities. Moreover, it comes with a 100 per cent recyclable package."

The IdeaPad Z570, a mainstream, multi-media, graphics-rich Notebook, offers an unparallelled visual experience, while ThinkPad L420 and T420 deliver superior performance and promise increased business productivity, the company said.

The company also unveiled M91 ThinkCentre range of desktops with optional software, which it claimed will enable complete remote and central management of keys and password for self-encrypting hard disk drives.

The company expects to sell the new products among students once the schools are reopened after vacation, as the pricing is affordable, in the range of Rs 29,990 to Rs 35,000.
