Lenovo India appoints new executive director

BANGALORE, INDIA: Lenovo India today announced the appointment of Subhankar Roy Chowdhury as the company’s human resources head for India, Middle East and Africa. In his new role, Subhankar will be leading Lenovo's HR strategy and operations in India and MEA region, said a press release.

Subhankar brings over 15 years of HR expertise in India, South East Asia and Middle East and African countries. Prior to joining Lenovo he was with Nokia where he worked for 5 years in India and Singapore, and the last 2 and half years being the HR head for Middle East and North Africa based in Dubai.

As the Head HR for Nokia Middle East and North Africa, Subhankar was responsible for building the leadership team in different countries and driving Nokia's growth in key markets. Prior to that, he worked in human capital consulting as a senior consultant with IBM and PwC with responsibility for the development and delivery of effective HR solutions for clients in India and APAC.

Subhankar will be based in Bangalore, supporting the leadership teams of both India and MEA.
