OneKey Recovery

OneKey is a unique feature that provides multiple options for backing up and restoring user data. Backup functions can be accessed at the touch of the OneKey Rescue button, both in Windows and when the PC is powered off. Data can also be restored simply by pressing the OneKey Rescue button when the PC is powered off. This worry-free key can help users anticipate any data damage by making an incremental backup, create a recovery disc or restore your PC to the factory default.

Active Protection System

The Active Protection System function protects data from sudden physical shocks to the system. The always on the go Web 2.0 generation requires  a notebook that can withstand data loss from rugged, outdoor usage — in case it drops while walking, or experiences jolts while travelling.  This technology stops the read/write processes on the hard drive within milliseconds of any sudden movement being detected.

Laptops Adapted for Extreme Mobility and the Hectic New Way of Life

Measuring 22.5mm thick at its thinnest point and weighing 1.3kg, the IdeaPad U160 has a long battery life, which allows travel-loving consumers to stay entertained and in touch no matter where life takes them.

With its slim 16mm profile and light weight design, the Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3s offers a typing experience similar to a full size laptop. This is achieved by a 98 per cent full-size chiclet keyboard, which features individually-spaced and rounded keys that make typing comfortable and easy.

The Lenovo Ideapad S and U series are not only great travel companions, thanks to the ultralight and comfortable design, but their features also aim to optimize time and ensure an ideal mobile experience:

VeriFace

Veriface is an intelligent facial recognition technology that allows the user to logon to the PC using their face as a password. It also allows access to password protected websites and files through the same technology — there is no need to travel with a list of passwords: one for the mailbox, one for Facebook, one for each e-commerce website etc. VeriFace should not be considered as a commercial-grade security system, rather a feature designed to optimize the time spent on managing passwords, and allow the interactive,  mouse-addicted generation to be lazy by switching easily between secure websites.

DirectShare

DirectShare synchronization technology makes it quick and easy to share files between two computers without the need for an internet connection. Today, the computing equipment per home is quite significant with each family now owning between two to three PCs. Synchronization has therefore become highly relevant to ensure that wherever you go, you do not have to worry about which computer you saved your content on. Technically, this is done through a local area network or through peer to peer Wi-Fi between the two computers directly. DirectShare can synchronize from an Ideapad to any other type and brand of computer.
