BANGALORE, INDIA: LDK Solar Co Ltd, which makes silicon wafers for the solar power industry, raised its third-quarter revenue outlook well above market expectations.
The company said it expects to report revenue between $270 million and $290 million, up from its earlier view of $240 million to $270 million.
Analysts, on average, were expecting third-quarter revenue of $249.9 million, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
The company also raised its third-quarter shipment outlook and said it now expects wafer shipments between 310 megawatts (MW) to 330 MW, up from its prior view of 260 MW to 300 MW.
Quarterly module shipments is expected to come in between 5 MW to 10 MW, the company said.
