Lawson Software launches India office

BENGALURU, INDIA: Lawson Software announced its expansion into the South Asia market with the opening of a new office in India.

The global provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions and applications has set-up the New Delhi office as part of its strategy to build its presence in the region, and to attract additional regional partners to better serve customers.

Kamal Sharma, who is the newly appointed regional head of Lawson India and Asia South, will head this new office. Lawson has more than regional head of Lawson India and Asia South in Asia and is planning to expand its customer base in the rapidly growing economies in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan.

The company currently has offices in China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore Jean, Taiwan and a related facility in Thailand.

It plans to draw on the expertise of more local partners and provide sales and marketing support via its India office.

“We are very excited with this latest opportunity to expose Lawson’s proven and established global business even further to our customers in India. We look forward to replicating our success stories in other parts of Asia to India, where we believe there is high demand for Lawson’s simplicity-driven solutions,” said David Hope, VP and Regional MD, Lawson Asia Pacific.

The opening of the India office will bring Lawson and its industry-specific enterprise software closer to customers in Asia South, particularly mid-tier companies including those in the food and beverage, fashion, and distribution industries.
