LAVA launches budget Android smartphones: Iris 503, 3G 402

NEW DELHI, INDIA: LAVA International Limited, showcased two of its smartphones- Iris 503, a sub 10k smartphone designed by the in-house R&D team at Lava and 3G 402, an entry level 3G android smartphone at the India Telecom 2013 exhibition.

Iris 503 is an affordable phablet by Lava's in house R&D. The smartphone comes with a 5 inch QHD IPS display with resolution of 540x960 pixels. Running on Android Jelly Bean v4.2, it is powered with 1.2 GHz Dual core processor and 512MB of RAM.

The smartphone packs a 5 MP auto focus rear camera with BSI sensor and a 1.2 MP front camera to perform video calling over Wi-Fi or 3G. It has 4GB internal storage, which can be expanded further up to 32GB with the help of memory card slot and a 2000 mAH battery which supports long hours of usage.

At the India Telecom 2013, Lava also exhibited its entry level 3G android smartphone 3G 402, a value for money handset. Powered by a fast 1.2 Ghz dual core processor and the latest Android Jelly Bean v4.2 operating system with OTA upgrade, the 3G 402 delivers exceptional performance for enhanced multi-tasking and connectivity.

Along with a 4-inch capacitive touch screen featuring high-res WVGA Display (480x800) the 3G 402 sports a 3MP rear camera and a VGA front camera. With a powerful 1500mAh battery, the smartphone gives users enough battery hours to browse Internet on 3G, download videos & songs and check emails on the go. The 3G 402 comes with 512 MB ROM and 256 MB RAM, which can be expanded upto 32GB through external memory card.

The Iris 503 is available for sale at an MRP of Rs 9,999 across India, while the 3G 402 is priced at an MRP of Rs 5,499.
