Features: Toshiba's Computer Systems Division - a division of
Toshiba Singapore Pvt Ltd, in association with HCL Infosystems Ltd has launched
five of its latest products in India.
The new product line-up included Satellite A100 and M100 series with Intel Core
Solo Centrino Mobile technology; notebook with HD DVD-ROM drive Qosmio G30;
business notebook TECRA M5 series and Portege M500.
Toshiba claimed that the Qosmio G30 is the world's first notebook AV to offer
revolutionary High Definition (HD) DVD-ROM Drive. Employing an on-drive optical
system with single objective lens, the drive is 12.7mm high. Along with playback
of HD DVD content, it can also read and write to current DVD and CD discs,
including DVD+/-R, DL (dual-layer) and DVD-RAM.
“Intel Core Solo Centrino Mobile Technology helps Satellite A100 and M100
notebooks re-define new benchmarks of style & functionality in an affordable
power-packed package,” the company said in a statement.
Toshiba's flagship business notebook line, TECRA M5 series, aims to set a new
standard for business mobility by addressing the growing needs of the mobile
workforce through an optimal balance of performance, reliability, security and
longevity.
The Portege M500 offers a combination of style and portable advanced technology
for both work and home use, Toshiba said.
