Lason sets up rural BPO center in Karnataka

CHENNAI: Chennai-based Lason India Ltd (formerly Vetri Software India Ltd) has launched their second rural BPO center at Vidyanagar in Karnataka.

Taking to reporters here, Pradeep Nevatia, managing director and CEO, Lason, said, “The 20-seater unit has been set-up by Lason India along with the Jindal South West (JSW) Foundation is expected to become the hub of BPO operations in and around Vidyanagar.”

The JSW foundation is expected to provide the total infrastructure for the new center where as, Lason would provide the expertise, he said.

The new center is expected to carryout data conversion activities and the turnaround period for the projects handled would be 72 hours. The quality achieved is 99.95 per cent as per the industry standard requirement.

Lason India is also looking setting similar centers in other 'B' class cities in Andhra Pradesh and Kerala, Nevatia said.
