TeamIndus is among three top contenders and the only Indian team for the $30M Google Lunar XPRIZE- a challenge to develop low-cost methods of robotic space exploration.

The startup believes that in the future, mankind will not be bound only to earth and hence the idea of this contest is to design and build a project that would catalyze the evolution of mankind as a sustainable multi-planetary species.

Lab2Moon will look for experiments in sustainable living that will have benefits both on earth and beyond. The experiments can be anything ranging from investigating how seeds can grow in space through to examining new possibilities in renewable energy.
