Seagate brings storage solutions for small businesses

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Seagate Technology has announced a new portfolio of Networked Attached Storage (NAS) solutions specifically designed for today’s small businesses.

The new portfolio includes five NAS products in a range of capacities from 2TB to 30TB and performance suited for the home office to small businesses with up to 50 employees.

The Seagate NAS and NAS Pro lines set the standard for ease-of-use by introducing a new intuitive operating system, NAS OS 4, together with hardware. Seagate NAS OS 4 can configure settings from a single location. It also includes App Manager and Seagate Sdrive for remote access.

Seagate NAS and NAS Pro provide secure access to files by creating a private cloud, also enabling access to files from a centralized location, while providing shared access for clients and partners through Seagate Sdrive software. Files on Sdrive are also accessible from a smartphone or tablet with free mobile apps.

Both Seagate NAS and NAS Pro are available worldwide. Seagate NAS business storage is available in 2- and 4-bay configurations. With a Marvel ARM 1.2GHz processor and 512MB of RAM, Seagate NAS is designed to address the storage needs of small office and home offices with up to 25 employees.

Seagate NAS Pro debuts Intel’s latest dual-core 1.7GHz C2000 Series processor, which is designed to perform well in multi-user and multi-dimensional environments. Outfitted with an Intel dual-core processor and 2GB of RAM, the NAS Pro delivers the performance expected in a small office environment made up of 50 employees.

Seagate NAS is available now for Rs. 22,800 for the two-bay 2TB to Rs. 59,750 for the two-bay 10TB version. The four-bay configuration ranges from Rs. 41,700 for 4TB to Rs. 106,000 for 20TB.

The Seagate NAS Pro range includes two-, four- and six-bay models from 2TB for Rs. 37,150 to 30TB capacities for Rs. 200,000.
