L&T Infotech, Micro Focus partner to set up CoE

MUMBAI, INDIA: Micro Focus, a provider of enterprise application management and modernization solutions, today announced that it has partnered with L&T Infotech to set up a Centre of Excellence in Mumbai.

The CoE will expand and accelerate the delivery of products and solutions to its customers globally, said a press release. It will help address new lines of business around application modernization and migration, and enhance skill development around Micro Focus products.

The partnership was signed in Mumbai, by Abhay Chitnis, head of technology, L&T Infotech; and in London by Nick Bray, chief financial officer, Micro Focus.

"We are poised to expand our services around Micro Focus technologies and to build intellectual property on top of this flexible and open platform," said L&T Infotech's chief executive officer, Sudip Banerjee.

The partnership would help to expedite the delivery of services from L&T and provide innovative solutions to their customers. The CoE will also capture and drive best practices around application migration and modernization giving a head start to skill development.

“In the current economic scenario, customers are looking at realizing ROI within 12 months. This combination of services and solutions around application modernization and migrations fit perfectly in the customer’s agenda. We believe L&T will add immense value to their customers though this partnership” said Ashish Masand, country general manager - India, Micro Focus.
