K'taka IT vision group meets

BANGALORE: Karnataka’s IT Vision Group headed by Infosys mentor and founder, NR Narayana Murthy, is on in Bangalore today.

This is the first meeting of the Group after Murthy took over as chairman.

The close-door meeting being held at the Infosys campus, involves IT industry captains from IBM, Cisco, Philips, Wipro, Microsoft; State officials including MN Vidyashankar; associations such as India Semiconductor Association, Nasscom and the Software Technology Parks of India.

Some of the items on the agenda include suggestions on changes in Karnataka’s IT policy 2000; infrastructure issues in Bangalore especially those affecting the IT corridor and revamp of the IT event BangaloreIT.in.
