BANGALORE: Bangalore-based Kshema Technologies has posted a net profit of Rs
2.64 crore in the first half of the current fiscal, as against Rs 55 lakh in the
corresponding period of 1998-99, recording a growth of 480 per cent in net
profits. Revenues have grown by over 301 per cent to Rs 9.73 crore, up from Rs
3.23 crore for the corresponding period last year.
In this period, Kshema has taken an initiative in e-commerce by consolidating
its expertise in related areas to form an e-commerce solutions team. According
to Kshema President and CEO Anant R. Koppar, "Kshema has already provided
Internet and web based solutions to several of its customers in the areas of
customer care, billing and supply chain. As our customers are moving towards
e-business, we are contriving ourselves to provide e-commerce solutions."
Kshema's customer base has increased to over 30 companies in USA, Canada,
Germany and Finland. During this period Kshema added 10 new customers, five of
them with annual revenues of over a billion US dollars. The new customers
consolidated Kshema's position as an IT consulting and services provider in the
e-commerce, converging communications and healthcare industries.
