Kronos to double its workforce in India

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Kronos, a workforce management solution provider, today announced that it is doubling its workforce in India to increase its product development as well as its operation in the country.

“This economy is going to double in the next 10 years. More and more companies are coming to India. Young workforce of India is going to be key contributor to this economy. At the same time managing workforce is becoming complex. We see huge opportunity in easing this complexity. This is why we have inaugurated our new new product development centre in India and will double our workforce in India in next two years time,” said Aron J Ain, chief executive officer, Kronos Incorporated.

At present, Kronos has a total of 200 employees in India. Out of this, the company has 150 engineers devoted to development of Kronos workforce solution in the country and 50 employees deal in field operations of the company.

Kronos has been present in India since the last three years and claims to have registered 300 per cent in last financial year over the previous year.

“In three years, we have acquired 40 clients. We started from scratch three years back and have grown to this level. There is huge demand for workforce management solution. We acquired some key clients namely Delhi International Airport, Medanta Medicity, Viraj and Bombardier. Recently, we were fortunate to have acquired business from Aircel, Cummins, Jubilant, Schenieder Electric Sterlite Industries and many other prestigious brands in the country. We are seeing wide acceptance of our product. To meet clients expectation and demand, we are increasing our focus in Indian market,” said James Thomas, country manager, Kronos Systems India.

Present at the occasion, Arun Datta, VP , Human Resource, Medanta Medicity mentioned that for organisation like Medanta, it is very crucial to manage workforce and a person can be substituted with a person of the same skill-set when it comes to day-to-day working of Hospital.

“We cannot depute a gynecologist for work of a cardiologist. Using Kronos solution, we have been able to put mechanism in place so that we can timely and efficiently manage workforce. This had been one of the key benefit we have gained from its solution,” said Datta.

Birendra Prasad, general manger, Human Resource, DIAL, added that for organisation such as DIAL scheduling workforce is very important.

“We deal with a number of people at various points. Our goal is to be among top 5 airports of the world. It will be hard for us to afford if someone finds any kind of gap in our services. Therefore lots of things go behind managing workforce. Kronos solution has helped us in managing workforce at airport and they have customized solution as per our need,” said Prasad.
