Kronos brings real-time tracking suite to India

BANGALORE, INDIA: To help enterprises establish real time employee performance tracking and realize the benefit of optimal performance, Kronos today announced availability of Workforce Central 6.1 suite for Indian market.

The suite which has been customized for Indian, not only enables executives in large enterprises to gain greater visibility into workforce, but also identify critical business issues and empowering them with the tools to make informed workforce management decisions.

James Tohmas, Country Manger, Kronos India said that the suite was being launched in India at a time them most enterprises was seeing labor as the single largest controllable expense. "Though the enterprises have invested on IT, most of them lack in measuring the contributions and performance of employees in real time and take right decisions. The Workforce Central 6.1 will bridge this crucial gap", he said.

According to Thomas, the suite, has hundreds of features and ease-of use enhancements which can effectively enable organizations to control labor costs, minimize compliance risk and improve workforce productivity.

Among the features specially incorporated in Workforce Central 6.1 are enablement of labor data updation as specified by the Indian Labor Law and calculation of employee details on days/hours basis.

Gil Sullivan, Product Marketing Director, Kronos added that the suite can help enterprises in real time management of data, time and attendance, absence management, forecasting and scheduling, activities and analytics.

"Workkforce Central provides a centralized view of the entire workforce, enabling organizations to monitor workforce performance across diverse geographies. The latest suite strengthens Krono's global capabilities and deliver enhancements such as an expanded library of languages, support for a broad range of local government regulations and business practices and a new multi-currency feature which allows organizations to manage currency at both a local and corporate level.

Advanced scheduling

Workforce Central 6.1 includes advanced self-service for employee scheduling. The new capabilities enable employees to request open shifts as they become available , and give managers the ability to review and approve shift changes and assess how they impact the rest of the schedule.
