Krone unveils wireless suite

Krone, provider of telecommunication connectivity solutions, has announced the launch of AirLAN wireless products. The AirLAN's broadband wireless LAN solution is 802.11b compliant and forms a part of the Krone PremisNET Integrated Connectivity solutions product portfolio, which incorporates CAT 6, fiber and free space optics solutions.



Krone's AirLAN solution consists of access points, PC cards for laptops and USB adaptors. AirLAN offers Slack data communication, Coding after incoming inspection standard, IP sharing (NAT), DHCP Client/Server, Internet capability everywhere, anytime.



The Wireless ACCESS POINT operates at 11 Mbps and has an auto fallback feature to provide seamless data transmission. The PC Card enables the flexible usage for notebooks and laptops. Owing to the Plug & Play technology, all AirLAN products can be set up and made operational in a short time and in any office environment.



Krone AirLAN is fully interoperable with IEEE 802.11b compliant products. An incoming inspection coding protects the transferred data effectively against unwanted access.



This AirLAN is a part of Krone's PremisNET family. The Krone AirLAN compliments Krone's structured cabling connectivity solution, which comprises CAT 6, fiber and wireless products. "Krone AirLAN provides the convenience, flexibility besides simplified configuration and equips customers with the latest in technology 'Anywhere' and 'Anytime'," said DS Nagendra, Country Sales Manager, PremisNET.



"KRONE AirLAN provides a data transmission rate of 11Mbps at a range of 30 meters, and access up to 140 meters in an open office environment, thus enabling users to place their laptops wherever they want, and move them any time," he added.
