KPIT Cummins wins SAP ACE award

PUNE, INDIA: KPIT Cummins, a product engineering and IT consulting partner to global manufacturing corporations, has been honored with SAP ACE Awards 2011 ‘BEST — RUN End to End Business Process’, in the emerging enterprises category.

The award was received by Anantanarayan Seivur, head Information Systems Group KPIT Cummins.

The company has been among the early adopters of such technologies that streamline operations and enable automation of activities across multiple functions, said a press release.

KPIT has implemented SAP modules end to end for functions including HR, Purchase, Sales, Finance, Portfolio and Project Management, Enterprise Security: Governance Risk and Compliance and Enterprise Support and has now migrated current SAP landscape to a private cloud environment.

The private cloud infrastructure is a full data center infrastructure virtualization suite that provides comprehensive virtualization, resource optimization, application availability and operational automation capabilities.

This award recognizes KPIT Cummins’ continued investment in building a resilient and scalable technology infrastructure that can effectively support business expansion and growth, the company said.

Commenting on winning the award, Shrikant Kulkarni, chief information officer, KPIT Cummins, said “The prime objective of the CIO office has been to implement technologies that integrate key business processes across the organization and enhance value derived by customers and employees. Leveraging our experience in aligning newer technologies with the legacy systems we could implement the SAP modules faster and without any disruption to services.”
