Konftel launches IP Conference Phone

UMEA, SWEDEN: Konftel, Europe-based supplier in conference phones, today announced the launch of Konftel 300IP, a SIP-based conference phone with a number of innovative functions.

The 300IP makes it possible to make local five-way calls and ring pre-programmed groups, as well as record and store calls on a memory card, said a press release. It helps in creating user profiles, personal contacts and settings can be saved.

It is equipped with Konftel's patented OmniSound 2.0 sound technology that provides crystal-clear sound with wideband.

The release added that Konftel 300IP can be connected to either an IP PBX system or direct to a VoIP service provider. The phone is based on SIP (RFC 3261) and is compatible with most of the market's SIP platforms. It could also be used as support power over Ethernet.

It has a built-in call recording function on SD memory card and is credited to be first IP conference phone on the market to offer the possibility of making local five-way calls.

The phone is expected to reach the market by mid December 2008.
