Well, we are talking about the new Tamil song that has got more hits than Shah Rukh Khan's hit flick 'Chamak Challo' on YouTube.

After a buzz in K-town, the popularity of the new song has gone viral in the cyber world.

Why is 'Kolaveri Kolaveri Kolaveri Di' from movie '3' a global hit before the release of the movie?

The song, which is a blend of Tamil and English ('Tanglish') was penned and sung by actor Dhanush himself.

The lyrics are extremely hilarious and something the youth of the nation identify with and music sounds too grounded.

Just six days after its release the song has got 1.85 million views, 25,403 likes and 813 dislikes on YouTube. It has outdone the popularity of SRK's hit flick 'Chamak Challo' from the movie Ra.One, which generated 9,643 likes in over three months.

The music director of the film newcomer Anirudh is overwhelmed with the reach of the song, say media reports.

What makes the song the anthem of the youth is the authenticity of the video. The video shows Dhanush, Shruti, Anirudh and Aishwarya in the studio recording the song and suprisingly the official video is yet to be shot.

The film created quite a sensation when the daughters of two veterans of southern cinema decided to team up for it. The film, which is directed by Rajnikanth's daughter Aishwarya and Kamal Haasan's daughter Shruti in the female lead is gaining more publicity after the video got 'leaked'.
