Knowledge services from a BPO co

BANGALORE: BPO company, WNS Global Services (WNS) has launched its WNS Knowledge Services (WNSKS) division to meet the growing demand for greater cost and time efficiencies in the research and analytics services sector. The company plans to induct 200 to 300 new employees to meet the demands of this growing practice. A majority of them will be MBAs or will hold Masters or Phd in economics and statistics.

"We are very excited about the response our Knowledge Services offering has received and see this business growing rapidly. The combination of 24/7 service from highly skilled employees at an India leveraged cost base offer an irresistible value proposition."



WNS Knowledge service offering:



  • For market research companies, the service offering will include data input from surveys and other scanned documents as well as computer aided telephone interviews (CATI), data analysis and output presentation.


  • For professional services companies such as consulting firms, investment banks, recruiting and legal services fims, services will range from business intelligence services including literature searches, business and financial analysis employing public and private databases to compile information as well as presentation and charting services.


  • For existing corporate clients, services include data mining and inputs to corporate marketing and sales programs such as airline yield management and customer segmentation.

 



Bhargava and Eric Selvadurai, President, Global Operations, WNS Global Services will drive the Knowledge Services effort. While Bhargava, ex Partner, Mckinsey & Co. has played a key role in the creation of the McKinsey Knowledge Center in India, Selvadurai in his capacity as Asian head of Hays PLC’s BPO operations developed a variety of service offerings for clients that included a leading global media company and a global credit-rating player. WNS already has four Knowledge Services clients with over 200 professionals developing offerings for them.
