KLG to implement Trimble GPS in India

NEW DELHI: KLG Systel today announced that they have been chosen as the distributor for Trimble ($188.5 million company) mapping and GIS and infrastructure solutions in India.

Trimble, a $188.5 million innovator of products & technology in the Global Positioning System (GPS) space is known for supplying GPS reference stations to establish new infrastructure networks throughout China, across Shanghai, Wuhan, DongGuan, Tianjin and Beijing.

Trimble India country head Ajay Sarin said, “India is at a stage where with opening up of sectors like telecom, electricity etc. the country is seeing phenomenal growth and there is a need for better infrastructure planning. This is where MGIS solutions play a role. Using GPS for GIS data collection and data maintenance is essential for timely decision-making and judicious use of resources, as is done worldwide by government agencies, scientific organizations, and utility companies.”

He added, “We strongly believe that KLG is the right partner for our products as they have expertise in the Mapping & GIS market and have strong presence across the country. They are one of the big technology players in the Infrastructure sector in the country.”

Trimble has set up infrastructure networks throughout the world in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, US including Alaska, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Belgium, France, Spain, Italy, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Australia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea, and Japan.
