Keane to be 5,000 in India

HYDERABAD: U.S. business consulting and outsourcing firm Keane Inc. is setting up a software application services testing facility and a back-office services unit in Hyderabad.

The Boston-based firm will invest $ four million in the project, Laurence Shaw, Senior Vice-President, International Operations, said at the inauguration of the facility.

He said he expected Keane's employee numbers to rise to 5,000 over the next few years from 1,350 currently.

The company already has a back-office service facility in Gurgaon near New Delhi.
